This position is in support of the Automatic Dispense Machines at the Springdale Plant for the continuous off shift (6p-6a). Responsible for formulating maintenance, production evaluation, inventory maintenance, software maintenance, calibration, customer service and color matching. The technician must perform generally standardized routine chemical and physical tests of finished goods and prepare the results with established standards.
The technician must also maintain detailed records of test results using FG Core, perform statistical evaluations, calculate batch adjustments and approve batches for production manufacturing. The technician must prepare the customer packages for samples, Certificates of Analysis, etc. The technician keeps track of the department intermediate inventory and executes production schedule accordingly. They are responsible for communicating with production operators, supervisors and operations planning to coordinate manufacture and bulk transfer of intermediate materials into bulk tanks.
- Candidate must have a high school diploma or equivalent and successful completion of one year of chemistry and algebra.
- A two-year technical degree or two full years of college, including mathematics, general chemistry, physical science and related laboratory courses is preferred.
- Coatings manufacturing or lab experience is strongly desired
Functional and Technical Skills
- Good analytical skills, attention to detail, accuracy, ability to follow directions and verbal communication skills are all needed.
- Basic computer knowledge, Windows, DOS, tandem and color matching experience would be helpful.
- Successful completion of the Technician test battery is required.
