Position Summary:
OVERVIEW
- Perform tasks in a safe and professional manner.
- Repair of painted walls, furniture, equipment, and stained and varnished surfaces of building structures and furniture.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Prepare and paint surfaces using proper application and techniques using various products.
- Plaster or spackle surfaces
- Mix paint colors to match existing colors.
- Apply paint to all building and equipment surfaces with brushes, rollers and or spray guns.
- Install and repair covered wall and ceiling surfaces throughout the facility.
- Hang vinyl, paper, and fabric wall coverings of various types.
- Maintain and repair caulked, grouted and masonry surfaces throughout the facility.
- Prepare and maintain wood surfaces requiring staining, varnishing and lacquering.
- Apply stains and develop a finished product from unstained wood or existing finished wood.
- Maintain service documentation via Computerized Maintenance Management System
- Comply with all safety procedures, maintaining good housekeeping and safety of work areas.
- Maintain compliance to State, County, or City Ordinances, Codes, or Laws.
- Participate in ongoing technical, safety, and operational process training programs
- Maintain tools, parts, equipment and supplies in clean and safe condition
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- High School diploma or GED.
- Experience operating and maintaining hand tools and power equipment.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- General knowledge of building construction with knowledge in all trades, but strongest in the painting.
- Visual ability to identify colors and patterns, measure lengths and quantities and assess areas for repair.
- An ability to stand or sit for extended periods of time and lift 50 pounds.
- Basic organizational skills and the ability to effectively communicate thoughts and ideas through verbal and written form.
- Must be able to read and understand and communicate in English, both orally and in writing.

- Basic computer skills
- Ability to interact constructively with peers/teams
- Candidate must be willing to work in a multi-skilled team environment.
HOURS
- Ability to work assigned shifts to provide adequate coverage, and support on-call coverage, as assigned.
- May be required to work overtime to meet deadlines.
- Open to working off hours or call back in emergencies.
