Senior Construction Project Manager (Memphis)

Position Summary:

OVERVIEW
JLL has an exciting Senior Project Manager opportunity in Memphis, TN. Our Project and Development Services group provides a range of Owner’s Representative services for corporations, institutions and professional services firms. This role requires expertise in both commercial and industrial project construction. Also approximately 25% of this role is business development - selling PDS project management construction services.        
 
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Oversee projects from design through completion of construction and close out
  • Develop scope, schedule and budget for new construction, tenant improvement and relocation projects
  • Prepare, issue and evaluate RFPs for professional services, contractors, and vendors
  • Recommend award of contracts
  • Manage all financial aspects of each project from inception through conclusion
  • Manage architects, contractors and vendors
  • Coordinate activities of furniture, fixture and equipment vendors, and the relocation of technical functions
  • Conduct project meetings and issue minutes
  • Evaluate and recommend changes orders
  • Address clients’ special requests and concerns
  • Interface with all project stakeholders including client staff, landlord and property managers
  • Maintain client relationships and provide conflict resolution leadership
  • Coordinate with government entities including permitting
  • Prepare monthly reports including scope, schedule and budget updates
  • Assist in the management accounts payable and receivable
  • Interact with local real estate brokerage team and support them with site visits, building/site evaluations, workletter reviews, etc.
 
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Architecture, Construction Management, Interior Design, or Engineering,
  • Experience in technical, infrastructure projects.   
  • Minimum 10 years project management experience working on commercial and industrial building projects
  • Experience working with landlords, property managers, developers and FF&E vendors
  • Experience in project budgeting, contract negotiations, and scheduling
 
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Project, Word, PowerPoint, Excel.  
  • AutoCAD experience a plus.
