Key Responsibilities
Incumbent is responsible for manufacturing/technical support of the Duranar Industrial Finishes Dispense cells. Duties include Rexson formula maintenance, routine dispense machine preventive maintenance, inventory maintenance including intermediate tank filling, software maintenance backup, equipment calibration, customer service interaction, color adjustments and other property testing to meet customer requirements and fill production orders. The incumbent will perform and document generally standardized, routine chemical and physical test of finished goods and compare the results with established standards and customer requirements. The incumbent will also be required to perform all facets of the production process including label generation, COA generation, batch dispensing, and forklift operation to move materials as necessary. Other tasks as assigned.
Experience and Education
High school diploma or equivalent combination of experience and/or education including the successful completion of basic high school chemistry course and basic high school algebra course. A two-year technical degree or full two years of college, including mathematics, general chemistry, physical science and related laboratory courses preferred. At least one year of laboratory experience in paint/coatings manufacturing facility preferred
Functional and Technical Skills
Basic computer skills and basic color matching skills preferred. Ability to obtain and retain forklift license required. Must be able to successfully pass a color vision test. Incumbent must have good analytical skills, attention to detail, ability to follow directions, and accuracy. Must be able to read, write, and communicate (written and verbal) in English. Incumbent must be able to wear the required PPE.
