The Recruitment Specialist will be responsible for providing full cycle recruitment support to hiring managers and candidates within PPG Architectural Coatings.
Strategically sources, recruits, screens and interviews job candidates to fill existing and future job openings. Delivers top talent through sourcing efforts, social networks, community networking, competitive talent shopping, referral networks, college/campus visits, consultation with personnel agencies and contacts within the larger community. Partner with hiring managers to understand requirements of vacant roles, while sourcing and delivering qualified, diverse candidates.
 
Utilizes creative sourcing methods, has overall business acumen and understanding of organization, and proactively
sources applicants for near and long term business needs.
 
Expectations for this role include:
- Working collaboratively with hiring managers to understand business objectives and candidate requirements for open positions
- Assisting hiring managers throughout the hiring process
- Providing guidance on job requisition detail and creation while advising managers on the most effective interviewing techniques
- Coach and develop managers to become more effective as leaders and managers in the areas of sourcing, interviewing and selection
- Managing expectations throughout process, while providing on-going communication
- Proactively researching and implementing innovative sourcing strategies.
- Staying abreast of community/market conditions that may impede/assist the hiring process
- Monitoring interviewing, testing and hiring processes to ensure adherence with all Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) legislation, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), and other government compliance requirements, and maintaining compliance and actively updating requisition activity within the ATS
- Effectively understanding recruiting metrics and take action for improvement
- Working to become integral member within the business unit, while building and fostering effective relationships with the hiring managers
- Will assist in campus recruitment directives as needed
- Other projects as assigned
Requirements/Qualifications:
 
- Bachelor's degree in HR or related field preferred
- 5 years of recruiting, recruiting operations, staffing, and HR, or a combination of these, with a heavy emphasis on Recruitment- Previous retail and sales recruiting experience preferred
- Experience utilizing selection tools and technologies
- Excellent interviewing skills as well as strong written and oral communication skills
- Knowledge with behavior-based interview techniques
- Demonstrated business acumen
- Prior experience with technology solutions, including recruitment websites, applicant tracking systems (preferably Taleo), and creative sourcing techniques
- Strong relationship building skills within all levels of the organization
- Ability to organize and prioritize multiple demands concurrently
- Ability to persuade and influence decision makers
