Key Responsibilities
Performs routine Hazardous waste functions in compliance with applicable RCRA, DOT, and EPA laws and regulations. Accurately completes required inspections per schedules, and maintains records. Maintains knowledge of changes in regulations. Strong knowledge of solvent recovery unit operation. Complies with Health, Safety, and Environmental requirements at all times. Must meet 5-S goals for waste area. Participate in team activities including writing S.O.P.’s. Train and coach others within the work contect.
Experience and Education
High School diploma or equivalent
Functional and Technical Skill
Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English; perform basic mathematical calculations. Must be able to safely operate hand and power tools, drum dollies, and powered forklifts. Current training in hazardous waste management (RCRA). Must possess basic computer skills and a working knowledge of basic characteristics used to classify waste using MSDS. Must be capable of guiding a project and taking accountability for the results. Must be able to use or wear all required protective equipment and clothing.
